Easter

The egg hunt went well--I hid, the boys hunted. It was a little worrying because a strange dog came over and tried to eat the eggs as I was hiding them, but it seemed friendly--or at least well-behaved--and stopped when I told it no, at least. We spent the whole day around the house.. we've been playing a lot of games for some reason, but it's been pretty fun. I would write much more but it's more than time for bed--M finally officially gave up at UpWords so we could finally go to bed. (I was decidedly winning anyway.) We have no clue what to do tomorrow. I guess we'll figure something out then..although I've put the ix-nay on the ill-hay imbing-clay already. Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Errrr... you hid the eggs? Why didn't the Easter Bunny do it?

Clearly, the Easter Bunny doesn't come to a house full of adults, only to houses with children. So, lacking a bunny, I had to be the bigger person and hide the eggs for the other two semi-kids. Actually, in my family, we never pretend that the Easter Bunny hides anything--he just brings the candy like a good bunny and gets the heck out of there.

We always did the full hunt. It was great fun to follow the clues and a great way to keep the kids occupied for at least 20 minutes - I'm a cruel person, so they had to work fir those eggs :)
