bad weather, no cookie

I. hate. this. freaking. winter. weather.

First it rains. It rains and rains and rains until we can no longer get the car doors open and I am late to work and it is icy and slick. Then the weather warms up again, and it is freakishly warm, perfect March days. My head feels thick and dull, and M and I are moody, listless and bored (also, sick.) Then there is freakishly warm rain, which disintegrates quickly into cold, icy rain again. Then, for one lovely week, it was rather normal January weather.. cold, but not so bad that you consider setting your toes on fire to remember what it feels like to be warm. And then it gets cold again, which leaves me with a headache that lasts four days. Cold cold. I could deal with some springtime around here.

And what's even worse? I am suffering from extremely dry skin this year. I usually have dry hands, although last year wasn't so bad. But before, I could slather on some lotion a few times a day and at least pretend that things are okay. I have dry skin in places I didn't even know I had this year. My dry skin spots are getting dry skin. It's crazy. I don't know if it's the weather, if it's the humidity levels in our house, if it's the location, if it's something in the water, but whatever it is, it is driving me mad.

Also, I have worn watch batteries down five times in two weeks. I have posted previously about my weird magnetism thing that causes watches to not work properly sometimes, but this is ridiculous. Two different watches, three different batteries.. you'll notice that the math doesn't really add up. That's because they will occasionally actually start working again if I take them off, but then I typically only get another day or two out of them. These are, incidentally, good watches.. I'm not talking about cheapos. (I gave up on those after I bought one in Ashland and had to return there the next day because it was dead already.)

I closed my eyes and almost fell asleep. Almost, if "I was dreaming" counts as "almost". I think it might be time to go to bed.

Have I previously mentioned that I have that exact same watch problem? My doctor told me I had too much electricity. Freakin' weird is what it is.

I hope winter doesn't last much longer. Sounds yucky down there. Not that it's much better up here. Am I actually "up" from you guys, though? I have such bad Eastern USA geography skills.

My mom used to have that same problem with watches, but I do not hear her complain about it much anymore... so maybe she grew out of it? Maybe that means good news for you?

Your weather sounds like mine. It was like in the 60s and beautiful on Tuesday. Then Yesterday it got dark and chilly and windy and rainy. It was all foggy on the way to work today and there is supposed to be more rain and maybe even snow (IN THE DESERT) over the weekend. I am miserably sick too ... my head feels likle it has the drummer boy playing in it and I am congested. Reading your post I thought maybe I wrote it and didnt remember.

You want to complain about the weather? Come on up and visit me! Today's high is supposed to make it all the way up to 20F! GRRRRRRRRRR!

Very weird about the watches.
