Throw Away Socks

And a small bit of humor for those of you dedicated enough to look at a picture of what was bound to be my feet.. I present to you a line in a conversation that occurred last night in my household. Bear in mind that this was inserted into an otherwise perfectly serious--well, as perfectly serious as M gets--conversation regarding his coworker's* new power to 'promote' certain people in the callcenter to do other stuff. In the middle of this story, he stopped and said seriously, "Prostitution. I have said for ages that I think we should institute prostitutes at work. Because you know, we have a big problem with absenteeism, and I really think this would fix it."

(I, of course, responded by opening the closet door--hell if I know, in answer to the obvious question--to inform him that I was totally blogging this.)

*This coworker, incidentally, is one that M talks about a lot and seems like a funny guy. I said last night that I'd like to meet him sometime and M immediately said no on the grounds that J is way too much like M for him to want me to meet him. I just gave him a Look but hey, I gotta tell you folks.. I am WAY TOO TIRED NOW to hook up with someone who is "a lot like M" so really, he has nothing to worry about. What exactly would be the point of finding someone a lot like the guy I've already procured through legal means (you can really buy anything on the internet these days)? Way too much work.

HAAA! That was great! The whole thing, from the socks (and the PHOTO OF THEM) to the conversation, to your mental thought process. Also, I like those pants, what I can see of them.

Very funny post, you're cute :)

What a great post. We are both laughing so hard about it - you should write a book!

I still find it scary that you guys have the same sort of Salvador-Daliesque conversations that we have. If the CIA were listening in, I'm sure they would think we were talking in code - or maybe they'd recognise genuine insanity...

The funny thing is I bet you still didn't throw that sock away! Hmm...
