I secretly want to buy that stupid Elmo Live doll for Evelyn, even though I think it's a stupid thing to cost $60 and I know she would be bored with it in no time and I always made fun of that kind of toy but OH would she like it.

For at least ten minutes!

But I won't.

And if I did, M would sneak it out of the house and return it, so at least there's something to keep me accountable. :)

Why didn't people ever buy my kids stuff like this? We asked for things that didn't sing, play music, roar, beep, growl, and it's still the ONLY stuff we got. The biggest offenders were the grandparents.

E gets stuff like that, too, of course. I don't really mind it too much, EXCEPT there is one specific stupid cheerleader doll that I have forbidden my mom to buy for her because I think it's obnoxious and irritating. We'll see if she unwraps it next month or not.
