Friday morning
I woke up with a sore throat, feeling congested. It's so unfair. I was sick last week. And if I have to be sick, for the fifth time this season, then why does it have to be on the weekend?!
I'm really happy with myself, though, because I finished up with the update of my Tatty Blog last night. I wasn't happy with how it looked and worked, before, so i upgraded Moveable Type to 2.63 and changed the format. I'm reminded of that episode of Will and Grace, when Grace was living in the apartment across the hall, and had been for months. Will came in, looked at the boxes littering the living room and says, "Interior Decorator! Unpack thyself!" So in this case, the web designer used a default template for her blog. :) Well, I edited it a bit, actually, changing fonts and margins, and fixed up the bug in IE that caused it to scroll horizontally. I also spent ages fixing the seach engine (didn't work at all) and the archive pages (gave an error but displayed). It's so much fun to look back through the previous pictures, since I started documenting it pretty much when I started learning. We love the picture of the first "pattern" I ever finished. :)
Magnus wants to buy a Volvo. No, not a replacement vehicle for either of us.. one that doesn't run. Before he moved, he had a 1963 Volvo P1800.
I actually felt worse about him selling that car than him selling his house or leaving his country. :) I've never seen a car suit a person more perfectly, and I'm not the only one who saw it. Lots of people told him that. Anyway, we've said that when it's more practical, he can get another one here. He found one in the Cinci area for $700 last night. No picture, so we don't know anything about it other than that it doesn't actually run. We've mentioned driving up to look at it tomorrow.. but I really don't think we can justify buying it. Magnus doesn't really enjoy the restoration part. :) We'll see. Might be a fun trip.

Oh by the way. The reason I'm not being all supportive and sympathetic and things about your sick thing is that I've decided you're not getting sick. So now we can go swimming tomorrow. Neat, huh?

Thanks for your decisiveness in the sick issue. I don't think that perhaps it will work out as you've planned, but I hope so. *sneeze* I really was looking forward to the idea of going out this weekend. :(
