Hiding.

I'm hiding out here in the dark. I saw those two little kids pulling a wagon down the road, trying to sell stuff. They came to offer blue koolaid a few days ago, and I didn't buy anything. I felt really bad, but I didn't really want any koolaid, wouldn't have drunk the stuff if they'd given it to me (who trusts the cooking skills of unknown eight-year-olds?) and didn't have any money on me to give to them. They actually didn't knock.. I bet they're only going to stop at the places that they got money out of the other day. They looked sad when I sad no, and I felt like the most bitchy person in the world.

Today has been extremely nice. I like having days off. And now almost all of the laundry is done (except for the folding) and the computer room is all straightened, except for M's desk, which is always in a perpetual state of disarray. Plus, I've gotten my chiropractor visit over with (usually go in the evening) for the day, and have been to the bank. I'm trying to make it sound like I've been productive.. I've spent a fair amount of time goofing off, too. :) I don't know why I feel like I need to rationalize free time. I'm crazy. That must be it.

Oh! Anyone from Ohio? Or can at least tell me why Ohio claims to be the birthplace of aviation on their license plates? Unusually stupid slogan, even for Ohio. (Requisite insult aimed at Ohio thrown in for the express happiness of stewlis.) ;)

No worries! Next time they come selling stuff I'll answer the door and speak Norwegian. That oughta scare 'em off forever. No need for you to feel mean any more! Works wonders with Jehovas and salesmen and all sorts of things.

They saw me come in today and didn't even stop by with the wagon.. I guess they figure if I wouldn't give them a quarter, I won't buy a chalkboard either. ;)

I think I saw a toy-type chalkboard on the wagon yesterday. It wasn't there today. Presumably, they sold it.
