Today's my mother-in-law's birthday. M called her this morning but I'm feeling guilty because we forgot to order the flowers. I guess we have a lot on our plate at the moment, and I don't think she'll be mad or anything, at least. :) We should remember to do that, anyway.

I had a second interview today, which went reasonably well, I think (but I won't know anything until the end of next week or the beginning of the next), and I had an excellent lunch with the boys and [livejournal.com profile] starrflowerr. After that, we stopped at a bourbon distillery--Labrot & Graham, makers of Woodford Reserve. According to them, it's the best bourbon in the world, but I guess they would say that. I tried it, but I'm not really a bourbon fan. (And [livejournal.com profile] blookum, they did give us samples at the end of the tour.. you must have been unlucky to have missed it!) We've had horrible horrible weather for the last two or three days, though, and it was a little depressing to be out there just west of Lexington in major horse farm country with no real photo opportunities because of the drizzly rain. Hate rain. Hate it hate it hate it. Usually.

I guess I didn't write yesterday.. nothing much going on, really. The aforementioned weather problems sapped the mood to do much of anything touristy, so we slept late, did a few errands, a tiny bit of shopping, and played games. I have no clue what's up with our mad game-playing, but we sure have done a bunch of it. We took a break from the games tonight to watch a movie. I've been teasing them because they chose a romantic comedy. They're trying to convince me that Groundhog Day is action porn, but it's not about to fly.

I'm cold and I'm sleepy. I guess I should learn to stop wearing shorts when it's not summer and go to bed when I'm sleepy.

They told me they were getting a license to serve alcohol on site, but it hadn't passed when I went last year. Looks like time for another trip!!

Or you could always just go buy one of those little bottles at a licquor store. $5 worth of bourbon as opposed to a $5 tour plus one centimeter's worth in a shot glass. ;) It really was a nice tour, and part of the reason I picked it over the others was that you praised it so much when you went last year. So.. thanks. :)

Yeah! I'm pretty sure it went pretty well, and that's a lot better than pretty badly. ;)
