I forgot to mention it earlier, but I also got three birthday cards today, including one from courtesy (ha, now you're going to be jealous if she didn't send you one for your birthday!) and stewlis.

We went to the Chinese place for dinner, for that is where we sit and talk about Life, the Universe and Everything. It feels like we're wasting valuable minutes now, but we realized that we probably need to wait until Monday before we head down there to look for a place to stay, since things are closed on the weekend. Tomorrow, M will work on the cars some, and I might try to get myself a haircut. This has nothing to do with moving, but I've been saying I need a haircut for months now, so it would be nice to get it done while I still have free time. I don't know. We're not in a major hurry to pack, even, because we're planning on doing the moving kind of slowly--we don't need to vacate this place, so we have plenty of time to sort through stuff and decide what to take immediately and what to take later.

Anyway. Lots of stuff going on, but the most important at the moment is probably my sleepy time. I got something in my eye earlier and couldn't get it out right away. Now both eyes are burning so much that it's hard to keep them open. I hate it when that happens because it's not like I'm truly all that sleepy. M would probably make some snide remark about how I'm always sleepy. Boys are like that. Anyway, I guess it's time for me to head to bed and reboot. I'm such a nerd.

Oh, and a very happy birthday to big_bubba! I guess it's kind of over by the time I get around to posting this, but I wrote it earlier in the day, if that counts for anything!

I guess it does, actually. It started because we went there not long after he moved here--he was talking to a friend of his in New York (a Swede) whose husband had started a company and she was saying that we should both be able to get a job there, so we were considering moving to NYC. We were rather excited by the idea, but in retrospect, we're soo glad we didn't. It was before Sept 11, for one thing. ;)

Wow, the two of you loose in NYC is a scary concept ;) Nah, you would have conquered. But I'm glad you stayed put too, it sounds like a lovely area where you are and it gives me an excuse to visit another state in USA :)
