Thursday night
Apr. 12th, 2002 12:06 amFriends was a rerun (two reruns), but that's okay cause I would have missed half of it anyway.
The parents called this morning to ask if I wanted to go to Lexington with them. I thought about it for a while and decided that I did, in fact, want to go, so I got ready and we headed out. Stopped to look at a fridge that some guy had for sale, and then went on to Lex. Dad wanted to look at some golf carts, and needed to drop off a lawn mower at my uncle's house.. don't ask. Anyway, Then it was lunchtime, and Magnus called, and we met at Red Lobster and had a nice lunch. (Oh, clarifications on my seafood policies: also no sliminess and under no circumstance should anything be or appear to be raw.) Anyway, then I got to ride with Mr. Volvo Salesman back to the dealership in a nice new Volvo. :) I want one! Unfair! We should get a demo vehicle! :) So then I take our car and go to CompUsa and then meet Mom at the Fayette Mall, where we spend several pleasant hours. :) I bought a dress and a pair of cheap jeans.. I'm not entirely sure I'm keeping the dress. My hubby doesn't like the pattern. *ponder* We'll see. If not, well, then I'll take it back. Then I went to Bed Bath and Beyond (by myself) and stayed until time to go pick up M. from work. I bought him a mortar and pestle, too. This sounds like a strange Happy Thursday gift now that I think about it, but we've been looking for one for ages and have been completely and utterly unable to find one. So. Yes. I wanted to buy a .. you've seen those Quick Chop things advertised on tv? with the little column and rotating blades that you press down on several times and end up with a chopped onion? The problem with those is that they're cheap junk, and obviously cheap junk at that. But I found a really neat one, heavy and ergonomic and sharp bladed. But I didn't. Wow, did I just write all that about something that I ended up not buying? Impressive, even for me.
Anyway. I got immensely excited by a Friends commercial while M had gone to Slone's to get sour cream and I was cooking (we had burritos, they were nummy). Neat new shows in May! One hour episodes leading up to the season finale! The birth of the baby and perhaps more with its parents.. oops, I guess that's classified info for anyone who's not in the US and keeps up with it.. oh, who cares? *egrin* Anyway. The bad news, of course, is that now I'm going to have to refuse to leave the country during the month of May due to my television show. The good news, incidentally, is that the boss has okayed vacation time. So.. maybe a visit is in the works for next month... nothing definite yet.
The weather was beautiful today.. almost bordering on too warm. :) Nearing 80, at least. Perfect shorts weather, but I wasn't dressed for it, hence it being almost too warm. But I'm not complaining in any event. ;) Let the good weather continue..
