Monday afternoon
Jun. 10th, 2002 05:38 pmI ran out of time last night to write in my journal. I'm not used to being the one willing to stay up later. Now my hubby gets sleepy and wants to go to bed. It's really weird. I'm used to him staying up hours after I go to sleep.
We didn't go to Elliott County yesterday. It was the day of the Adkins reunion, and Papaw went over there. All of Auntie's clan went to Ohio for the weekend to visit with grandparents. My parents are spending the week in Maysville camping, and it's not Aunt Rita's Sunday either, so no one was there. We spent most of the day just being at home, being together and stuff. At around five, we left for Maysville to have dinner with the parents. They made steak, fried potatoes, mac n cheese, and cole slaw.. pretty good stuff. They have the camper all set up and stocked.. wonder how their first night went? And Mom's first day of being there while Dad is at work? Anyway, we ate outside, and took a walk on the river, and played some Rook, and then left for home. We didn't get back until after 10, but it was fun.
Today I've been somewhat busy... mainly working on the new company site. I have most of the design done and working but I'm stuck on the buttons, so I took a few hours off to let my mind rest. I also uploaded the DarkScapes page to its new home. http://www.draknetfree/darkscapes/. I might be able to host it when we get the new host and domain sorted out and working, but at the moment, I didn't see the point in uploading anything I don't have to to that slow host of ours. Oh, speaking of which, I need to upload the mandolin site today too! He liked it. :) Also, I went out to the clinic to pick up a job application. I tried to think of somewhere else to go while I was out but failed.
Anyway. Backing up the current site, such as it is. What should I do in the meantime? Magnus will be off work in 45 minutes. So he'll be home in two hours, more or less. What should I make for dinner? I'm considering doing the baked potatoes thing. Not sure I'm in the mood for it, though. I did the dishes earlier.. Magnus likes to leave them all week and then spend two hours doing them on his day off. Boys are weird.
Okay. Now I'm officially done with the mandolin site. Yay! Uploaded, guestbook works, and everything. Now, I'll need to change our link when we change our hosting, but.. still!
That killed a few minutes, at least. I feel like I should have a lot to write about, for some reason. But I guess I don't. So I'll stop babbling now. Waves.
