Saturday night
Feb. 8th, 2003 11:21 pmWe spent a longer-than-average time at the parents tonight, but I guess that's because we haven't been up there lately all that much. I'm not all that sure why, just been lazy, I guess. We had a pretty good time, though. Whitley was there (actually, she came down for a few minutes before we walked back up to the house together.. she figured out that we have a pretty boring house, I think.) and she put this peel-off mask on my face. So um, now my pores are all fresh and I look years younger! According to the package, that is. I really don't need any help looking younger. Most people place me at around 16 as it is. :)
Magnus has a second interview (with an excellent company for a good job) sometime this week. Don't want to speculate more on this, but it does really help with the whole worrying about unemployment thing. If he gets the job and if it's as good as it seems it might be, we might consider moving to Lexington this time. That's where the job is. He commuted for three months before, but it was for a commissions only job, and you don't want to bet the farm on that sort of job, ya know? See what I mean about feeling guilty, dammit? Anyway. We're kind of excited about the prospect. On the other hand.. we don't want to leave this town. We really like it here. But on the other other hand, if we don't like it, we can always move back even if he doesn't leave his job. It's still commutable. If we lived in a big city, it might well take him an hour to get to work anyway, even if it's not actually 60 miles.. :)
Rambly rambly. I've been tatting hearts this week for Valentine's Day, and I want to go work on one now. But I don't like sitting in the livingroom by myself this late, so I'd have to talk Magnus into say, watching a movie with me. He's playing a new game, though, which is apparently addictive, and also we don't have any good ones to watch. Well, guess I could offer to watch Monty Python with him. That might work.
Or I could stop being such a baby. :)
