Yay!

I've spent the last month struggling with getting a perl cgi script working on its new server. It refused to cooperate. I got fed up with it today, enabled php support on the server, and two hours later, a completely new script has been tested, configured and now runs perfectly and seamlessly in the site's design. I'm incredibly impressed.

I'm surprised at how productive I've been while sick. Not only did we fix the server (minus the network problem that I haven't really worked on yet), I got the yearly filing cabinet sorting done.. you know, moving last year's stuff to the archived section and fixing everything for the new year.. okay, a little late, since it's March now.) I keep everything, and I created this insane system when we bought our filing cabinet. It involves printed yellow labels in a special font with rounded edges and perfectly lined up tabs. Now, of course, I feel like I have to keep it up. Anyway. I also spent yesterday afternoon working on my recipe book. I decided I'd rather have a binder than boxes of index cards (well, I have that, too, but it's for recipes I've been given.) so quite some time ago, I put together a binder with a format for the recipes before I print them and then they're in clear plastic sleeves. The clear plastic bit is incredibly nice, because they don't get all soggy when cooking, and they're removable and cleanable. Anyway, I have a folder full of recipes that haven't been printed or sorted, so I went through them and printed out a lot of new ones and sorted them. I even made a pretty cover and back for the binder. Maybe I'll start cooking fun new things again now. :)

I'm feeling better today.. not well but on the way upwards at least. I got eleven hours of sleep last night.. that helped, I think. :) My parents came down last night with leftover spaghetti and my mommy heated it up for me and baked garlic bread and everything. I thought it was pretty sweet.. I was at my worst yesterday evening so it was greatly appreciated, too. Last weekend was ruined because M was sick, and so I'm hoping we'll both be well enough to do something fun this weekend. The weather is supposed to be very nice.. I'm soo ready for nice weather.
