We're all freshly clean from the shower and clean sheets are awaiting us. Life doesn't get much better than this.

Today has been pretty good. I fixed the network issue with the third (Brad's) computer and was pleased at how quick and sensible the solution was, and I helped my dad work on the brakes of the bread truck for a few minutes. I just had to work that in.. working on a vehicle is so not my normal thing to do, and I guess one wouldn't really classify sitting and pumping up the brakes for twenty minutes working on them, but still! :) He hasn't done much else with that thing than work on the brakes since he bought the thing, but he's sentimentally attached to the pile of junk by now, I think. :) I also finished a second shamrock to be worn on Monday.. I'm using a Mexican (I think) thread I got from the exchange, which is nice. :) My niece's birthday is Monday, as well. I have a pair of socks (tatted edgings, so not just a pair of socks!) and oh crap, I didn't finish the jewelry. Argh. Hope I can get that done this weekend. I have a pair of earrings almost done and a bracelet in progress. How big around is an eight-year-old's wrist, I wonder? I have no friggin clue.

Since we're finally not sick, we're planning on having some nice togethery time this weekend. We have a few things suggested for tomorrow, but I'm not sure what we'll do yet. Might walk through town if the weather is nice. I said that I didn't want to go shopping, but I think we'll have to go to Wally World at least to get water. I looked up movie listings for Ashland earlier and there's not a single thing on this weekend that I would be remotely interested in seeing.. except the movie that's playing in town now, and M isn't too keen on that.. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days or something like that. No point in going to Ashland to see something he doesn't want to see all that much in Morehead, eh? Bowling was also suggested, as was a trip to the lake. What we really need is a decision-maker of some sort.. we really suck at coming up with a Plan.

Sorry I've been bad with comments this week.. my brain hasn't been clear enough to think of coherent things to say most of the time. :) In general, I have a hard time with small talk, but I do try. :)

Today has been such a nice day. We parked at one end of town and walked to the other, stopping to eat at Pasquale's. (This, of course, means that any exercise we got was removed by the calories we consumed.) I'm still at the tail end of my cold, so we walked just a tad more than was easy.. I was a little tired by the time we got done. The weather is really nice, if cloudy. :) We later went to WalMart and forgot one of the main things we needed.. laundry detergent.. so I guess we'll be making another quick trip to town this weekend. :)

And.... the exciting news of the day.. Diet Ale8 is now available! The initial taste testing results are not so hot, but still! It's pretty neat. :) Ale8, btw, is a caffienated ginger-ale type of soft drink.. much more lively than plain ginger ale but that's the closest comparison. Until recently, it's only been available in Kentucky (and not the whole state, at that), but has now expanded to southern Ohio and Indiana via a merger with Coke. So.. someday soon perhaps you'll see it near you. We love it. It's one of those things that people often really like or really hate but nothing in between. :)
