Yesterday, in my 40 Things list, I mentioned that Keith Whitley recorded the good version of "Don't Close Your Eyes". This is true, but what I meant to say was "When You Say Nothing At All", as that's the one that's been remade by Alison Krauss and that other guy. I fixed it, but thought I should mention it.

All this talk about last names reminded me of something I said the other day and Magnus refuses to let me live down. Not sure if anyone will get this. We were having a very silly conversation that won't translate very well into text regarding the fact that it was a weekend. We were saying "Yay!" repeatedly because of the two days off that we could spend together. Since I wasn't having time off work, but was glad he would be home, I commented.. and I shouldn't have.. "But you're the main yay-er!" I completely did not mean it the way it came out, but it was a pretty impressive pun. (If you didn't get it... our last name is pronounced Yayer) So he's been reminding me of that now constantly, that I said he was the head of the household. Last night's entry didn't seem to help--I just received the following in an email: "I’m your husband, and you’re just an extension of me. This is proven by the fact that you have my last name." *giggle* (He's obviously not serious, just so you know.)

Also newsworthy, I've lost two pounds this week, and that's on top of last week's temporary gain of three. I have NO clue how this weight loss occurred, but I'm not complaining! I've been eating a little better than I used to, and have lost ten pounds or so over the last year, but this week has not been one of those "eating better" weeks. Nifty. Maybe I should eat quesadillas, philly steak and ice cream all the time!

But the most exciting thing of all... I'm getting a new computer for my birthday! Magnus put in the order today at work, and it should be here the beginning of next week. (And yes, I get it then and I don't have to wait for my birthday, which happens to be in 18 days.) We're not actually ordering a computer so much as we're ordering bits and pieces that will become a new computer when put together. When we're finished, I shall have a brand-new computer, we'll keep this one and we're probably going to give my parents the current spare. (They don't know that yet, though.) Hmm.. maybe we should hold out for Mother's/Father's day. *grin* Anyway. I'm very happy about that. :)
