Yay. :)

We're home! I think the main reason we ever go anywhere is because it's sooo nice to come home again. We're boring that way. :) We had a perfectly delightful weekend, with lots of swimming and shopping being accomplished. And I'm almost done with the doily that I've been carrying around with me for ages, so I'm very pleased about the progress there. I spent almost all of my car time tatting, which was nice.

We stayed in the same hotel that we stayed in on our honeymoon and one other time. Traffic was horrible, so we stayed out of it as much as possible. We did go to a needlework store which actually had a LOT of tatting stuff. My sweetie was very patient with me and let me browse through stacks of books as long as I want. I didn't buy any books, but I did come home with six overpriced shuttles and a shuttle winder. (I prefer a style of shuttle that is now defunct, so I ended up paying an extra dollar a piece for them. I've actually never been in a brick and mortar store that sold more than two types of shuttles, and two is pretty rare. This place had probably ten different kinds. Anyway, I was able to leaf through all the books and see what they were about, which will help in my next bout of internet book shopping. I know, I suck, but the books were somewhat overpriced. Not that this is important, I'm just rambling for the sheer joy of having my hands back on a keyboard.. hehe. :)

I bought myself a book that I'm greatly enjoying so far: Nerd In Shining Armor. (Notice that you can buy the digital version of this book for just $1 more. WTF?) It's nice to see the geeks represented once in a while.. the lady at the register was greatly amused, though she tried not to giggle at M too openly. :)
