Ummm.. Ever see something so stupid and offensive that it's actually a parody of itself? These people raised $10 million last year, and that, my friends, is what's wrong with America.

See the anti Dean Howard (Democratic candidate) ad playing in Iowa and New Hampshire.. Also, Read about it at the Washington Times.. just in case you actually need proof that this is real, as M did. (If the link to the video doesn't work, you can click around on the homepage until you find it easily enough, and also a real player version.) I would comment on it further, but I find that I can't for fear of my brain exploding.

Tomorrow we're hoping to get into a routine again. Today we went to town for a quick errand and ended up being gone for five hours or so and therefore accomplished relatively little. I got a new phone, though! Funny thing to do when one suddenly loses their source of income, right? Go out and get a new cellphone? :) My phone suddenly stopped ringing a few days ago.. I guess it got tired. I could still call out but all incoming calls were directed straight to my voicemail. We went out to the Cingular booth with the intention of cancelling M's phone and switching his to my number. We had plenty of time to contemplate what we wanted to do, though, seeing as how we stood in line for forty minutes, and we realized that we could do that, or I could get a new phone for free, since I'm out of contract and all. That seemed fun, cost us nothing and will actually save us money. Nifty.

Also, we officially have zero functional vehicles. We stopped at my parents' house on the way home (my poor mommy had her tooth pulled today, and is generally improving now) and ended up staying for a few hours, and when we left, the steering issue with the red car went kerplunk. We're drowning in all our good luck here. :) I think the gold car is a quick fix and he has the part, though, and the broken part in the red car is still under warranty or something like that, so hopefully it won't cost an arm and a leg to fix.

Oh, and my mommy taught me to knit. At least, the beginnings of learning to knit. I want to make a scarf. I actually can't think of anything else that I want to knit, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Actually, she taught me when I was little, but I had mostly forgotten it. I think my head remembered more than I gave it credit for, although the knowledge was mainly gone.
