Since M couldn't convince me to heal the water heater, I asked my dad if he'd stop by to look at it today. He's the previous owner of this particular water heater so he clearly knows more about how it works than say, I do. He agreed, and we emptied the closet so he could get to the water heater. It was decided that it was a bigger job than he had time for, though, so he left and will come back tomorrow to fix it. Exciting! At least one more four-minute lukewarm shower in my future! I was so hoping to get this fixed today. :)

I am officially a Good Girl today, because I have done our taxes. We have to pay the federal government $103, but we get $37 from the state, so I guess it could have been worse. I won't complain, though it would have been nicer to get a hefty refund. :) M is also a Good Boy, but mainly because I like him. :)

I'm not doing the one thing I'm supposed to be doing, though, and I guess I'm going to have to get started on that--maybe tomorrow. It's time for me to start editing the Nanowrimo book now. I'm putting it off because I'm dreading it so badly, but it's not going to get any easier. It just seems so.. unmanageable. I had been planning all along to have the first run-through done in January, and then I would do Nanoedmo this month. I.. well, didn't, though. Mosaic Minds took up much more time than I had planned, for one thing, and also, I was lazy and interested in other things. Tomorrow, though..

Speaking of things I'm interested in, I did the most nerdy thing I've done in a while last night. I have an offline browser start page.. I've mentioned it before and highly recommended it to everyone. It was a four-column table, but, in keeping with the anti-tables-for-layout thing, I redesigned it last night to use style sheets. Okay, that's not too dorky in itself, but.. what made it bad was the style switcher with four different styles to choose from, all for something that no one other than me (and M, sometimes, I guess, when he turns around) will ever see. :)

One more thing. I know a lot of you are either already involved with Mosaic Minds or know others who are, but for those of you who aren't.. we're looking for submissions for next month's issue. The theme is Winging It, and we'd like very much to have articles from outside sources. If you're interested, the deadline is March 15, so you still have a few days to write something!
