I'm so very very sleepy. Why do I not go to bed? I guess I hate to be the first one to give in, but the boys are watching a movie and since M assured me that I didn't have to keep them company, I decided to go check on the laundry and sneaked in here to stare blindly at the computer for a few minutes.

Today was all about this huge flea market in Lucasville. We didn't quite have as much energy as we could have, though, so we were a little listless and finally we came home. Not sure why--it's not like we were climbing mountains and going bowling yesterday.. no reason for us to be sore! ;) My legs are perfectly fine, but my arms and shoulders are quite achey, oddly enough. I didn't think I used those muscles all that much. We were up very late last night, and sometime during that time we decided to go to Lucasville on Sunday instead of today because we knew we would be tired, but then when we got up this morning we decided to go on. I suppose that might not have been the most intelligent thing to do. I don't know.

We colored Easter eggs tonight, which was fun. I'm pretty sure Blatt thought I was completely crazy because I kept insisting on doing the whole Easter thing, but he would, of course, never say so and after we got started, it went over pretty well. We'll hide them tomorrow and then I'll make devilled eggs for lunch. I also have a couple dozen plastic eggs full of candy to hide, but I doubt the candy will get eaten. Blatt doesn't seem to have any more of a sweet tooth than M does, and he seemed extremely skeptical of the Peeps. We'll see how that goes, I guess.

Also, I'm freakin' hungry and rather p.o.ed about it. We went to D's, the lovely little bistro I mentioned a while back. This is the first--and if I have anything to say about it, the last--time we've been there for dinner. (They're only open for three dinner meals a week, apparently, and lunch on just weekdays.) First of all, it was extraordinarily odd because we were the only diners in the place, although there was a staff of four waiters and the chef, plus the guy playing live music. (This was actually quite nice, although I must say that I was even more irate when we got the bill and noticed that they had charged $3 each for the privilege of hearing this guy perform. I wouldn't have too much of an issue with that except it wasn't posted at all, and we certainly didn't have the choice of turning him off.) They had a selection of about seven items, all of which were kind of fancy and priced accordingly. Too high, but I could kinda live with that.. the menu items were relatively expensive and elaborate. What really annoyed the crap out of me was the food. M and B both claimed that their food was quite good. I ordered soup and salad (at $8.50, it was by far the cheapest thing on the menu, although that's not really why I ordered it. just didn't get hit by the desire for anything else listed.) I really enjoyed the salad I got last time we were there. It was tangy and spicy and sharp and crisp and flavorful. This one was about half the size if that one and consisted of lettuce, a tiny amount of bland dressing and some red bell peppers and olives (which I hate). None of the tomato, crispy cracker-crouton things, onion from last time.. even the dressing was different! It was edible, and tasted okay, but it was completely unspecial. The soup was actually quite good.. a tomato basil soup with a few stray chunks of a mozzarella-ish cheese floating around. There was possibly one cup of the stuff in the giant bowl they served it in, though. So altogether, dinner for two came to twice as much as we pay at most decent restaraunts in twon, plus tip, and three hours later I was hungry. Not exactly the highest praise, now is it? I just don't understand why they would make a completely different "house salad" for dinner as they do for lunch. It's stupid. Completely and utterly absurd, and also wrong. Did I mention stupid? What do I expect from a place that can't even manage to put up a sign about their totally bizarre-o opening hours?

I guess I got the last laugh, though--I'm posting about it on the internet. Ha!

M just came back from the living room and announced that B was falling asleep so it was time for the evening to break up. Now that I'm not the first anymore, I can finally go to bed. Whee! If I don't gnaw off my own leg from starvation first, that is..Or die of melodrama.
