Why does it always feel like a personal insult to life that I would have to go to work on Monday morning? Sunday nights are my least favorite time of the week. I suppose that part of that is just that we're so busy on Sundays, with the family thing, that by the time I get home, I need a day off to recover. On the way home, I was disappointed to realize that I don't have next Monday off either (remember, I alternate working Mondays) because of the Thanksgiving holiday.. when I realized that because I don't have Monday off, I have a five day weekend instead for Thanksgiving. Five days! And I didn't even notice until tonight! I am usually really up on the days off so I can't believe I didn't pick up on that. It's probably a good thing I didn't realize that when I was deciding whether or not to do Nanowrimo this year.

Everything was pretty much the same on the family front. Elizabeth has grown like crazy in the last two weeks, and she acted much more grown-up.. well, as much more grown-up as you can get at two months old. She was cooing and smiling, though, and much more alert. The food was excellent today, and more people than usual put in an appearance.. eventually. The kids weren't misbehaving too badly, either, which is always a major determinant on whether the day is good or bad. Krista's birthday party was yesterday, and so we had to miss it, but we gave her the present (The Princess Bride DVD) when she got there, and it was well-received even though she thought she already had it at first (crisis averted when we assured her that she did, in fact, not.)

I just turned around to see what M was doing, and thought at first that he was looking at porn. Then I realized that he was just installing a game. I have so much rage against the video game industry built up. I think people who blame violence on video games are generally very dumb, but I think that there is a connection between games and how boychildren grow up thinking of women. I'm just generally really offended by the near-naked women in these games, and I don't care who they're marketing them to. It sucks. It's wrong. And irritating.

Anyway, time for bed and the start of a brand-new week--one with our fourth anniversary in it! Night night. :)
