Somewhere over the rainbow
Dec. 7th, 2004 09:58 pmMy mom called at lunch today to tell me that we're invited to my cousin's surprise 18th birthday party tonight. It was understood that we weren't coming.. a bit much driving for a birthday party on a weeknight. What threw me for a loop was remembering that he's turning 18 tomorrow. I remember when he was born, and now he can vote. Not that there's an election next year--I know these things when they affect which days I get off--but still. She also wanted to let me know that Whitley would be on TV singing in a choir tonight, but that sure wasn't on the channel she mentioned, so I didn't see that, after all. :(
Anyway, I have my casserole in the fridge and the present for the gift exchange all wrapped--tomorrow is the holiday dinner at work. Those two things were stressing me out because I kept being afraid that I'd forget, for some reason. One less thing to worry about.. how's that for holiday cheer...
M is now going through the edits I made to his book. It makes me very nervous, but he hasn't divorced me yet. He does occasionally mutter something about me being mean, though. I'm cool with that as long as he isn't holding weaponry at the time.
We're both falling asleep at our desks here. It's really dumb so I think it's time for bed instead.
