I should be in bed instead of writing this, but we slept late this morning and we've had a very nice day and I hate to see it end. We had these big plans to go get a haircut and do some shopping today, but the weather kind of thwarted those plans, and neither of us got too upset about it so I think this was the right decision. Maybe another weekend.

Thank you to everyone who commented about Bud. I like him, so I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one. If he says anything else to me, I'll try to write it down. I will hopefully get around to answering individual comments sometime. Maybe. I really appreciated the nice things ya'll said, though. I have just been kind of boycotting the computer at home this week as much as possible.

Anyway. Nice day. After lunch, we cleaned for a while.. our downstairs was.. well, I don't even want to talk about it. Let's just say that it was not exactly conducive to a peaceful day on the couch, so we had to clean before we could play. Then we watched the first three hours of The 10th Kingdom and crafted.. M worked on his quilt for the first time in months and months, and I've been knitting lately, so that's what I worked on. I finished my little project tonight.. I made a tiny purse-type bag. It's completely impractical because it is way too small and it doesn't close, but it's extremely cute (if I do say so myself.) I even sewed a pretty lining for it.. I'll probably take pictures of it soon. The only thing I haven't done is the handle which I guess means that I shouldn't say that I finished it, eh? I figure I'll crochet that but I just don't have a hook large enough to do it. The only hook I have is so tiny that you can barely see it.. tatting paraphenalia, you know.

Then, the big big project of the day.. we made curtains! Pretty curtains! They're very simple.. we didn't really have a pattern, just the basic panel idea. We picked out the fabric last night.. it has two shades of blue diamonds. They really turned out well, and although we did take pictures, I'm much too lazy to transfer them right now. What I am very pleased about is that we actually did them right... pre-washed, pressed and pinned and measured. I'm not nearly anal enough to sew much... I don't have the patience to make things line up and sew straight lines and all. I'm much more relaxed with all the other crafts I do. M did the sewing for the curtains, actually, but I did do the lining for this little bag. (Which.. cute though it is.. workmanship of construction.. eh, not so much.) I thought it was time to say hello to the sewing machine we've had since June.. lazy, lazy, lazy. But these curtains have a geometric pattern, and it actually matches on both panels, both top and bottom. I guess that most people who sew would not even bother mentioning that it might be otherwise but you have to take into consideration our lack of general talent in that area. ;)

Anyway, nice day or not, it's really time for bed. M hasn't started nagging yet but he's about to, I can tell. And also, I'm tired. So.. yeah. Nightie night!

Argh. I am really annoyed with my hosting company. Last year, there were these Brazilian hackers (MM staff will remember that one!) that caused the hosting company to turn safe mode on. This vexed me greatly, so I requested that it be turned off, and they complied after warning me--did I mention that I was the one that told them about the hackers?--that this is how the hackers got in last time and that it was a bad idea. I was happy again (Gallery requires safe mode to be off.) Tonight, I was feeling too lazy to write much (I don't know how this works because picture-fiddling is more work than writing) so I resized pictures to upload for this journal entry, but apparently they thought turning safe mode back on was an excellent way to piss me off. Which, actually, they were right, so good for them! If it didn't give me so much of a headache to think of moving Mosaic Minds, I would so move all the domains from that account to the one that I'm already getting for free for the next two years instead of paying for one that pisses me off on a regular basis. (Mental note: advil.) I guess I'll email them tomorrow if they don't magically fix the stupid thing tonight. I could just upload them elsewhere, but I don't feel like fussing with it anymore.. it would raise the level of effort required for this entry way past what it takes just to ramble about it instead, so I'll pass.

In other news, I have not had my shoes on since Friday. I really feel like I needed that after last week's general suckage. I got in a little trouble with my parents for not calling them last week, but I just didn't have the energy to do anything at all, so it was nice to get a few things done. Most of the house has now been cleaned (and messed up again) and the laundry has been done (mostly) and I had the most strenuous exercise bike workout I've had in a long long while. We were going to go visit family today but then we looked outside and let the weather (which probably would have been just fine) sway us into hibernating an extra day. We got a lot of crafting done, and watched The 10th Kingdom In its entirety. It was all just really, really nice. I could use another day, though. :)

My husband found 780 Super Nintendo games for me this week, too.. to go with the Nintendo games (ALL of them) he found a while back. This is vastly exciting, because that's basically where most of my game interest ended.. 1994. I haven't really played with them much yet, though, but it's still pretty neat. Husband is useful sometimes. ;)

(I really used an impressive number of parenthesis in this entry, even for me.)
