Monday goodness
Jan. 31st, 2005 08:15 pmI seem to have been a touch uncommunicative lately. The truth is that I've been really tired of my computer, which disturbs me more than just a little, and also, I've been crafting madly of late. I'm not entirely sure why, but it has felt extremely calming to work with my hands.
It has been an excellent weekend, and I'm very sorry that it's coming to a close now. When we woke up on Saturday, we decided that it would be a bad idea to go shopping like we had planned because the weather reports were dropping phrases like "black ice" and "hazardous travel" so we cleaned instead. Really cleaned, more than we have in a long time. The neat thing is that after we did that and got that wonderful feeling of accomplishment.. well, then, we looked outside and realized that the snow had all melted, and the weather reports were more about a possibility of snow overnight than any serious trouble. So we headed off to buy yarn and have a nice dinner and browse for books. It was great fun. Sunday was the family thing, which was much as expected, and since I didn't have to fight over Elizabeth with another of my cousins due to her staying at home, I had large amounts of baby time all to myself. ;) I had today off, and did absolutely nothing all day long. It was totally fabulous.
In other news, I hate the web. I've been sitting here fiddling with site things for an hour and a half and that is way too much time to spend on something that apparently doesn't want to work. I will spare you the details for once, and instead, go see what's on TV and maybe finish a snowflake.
