Rash. Driving. Me. Crazy. AARGH. I have got to get to a dermatologist about this sometime. It's really, really annoying. At least I don't always have it, and it does go away fairly easily if I get it wet. Hey, maybe it's the wicked witch that is causing it! And so when I wash the rash, her influence melts away. That is so totally it, I'm sure. Just as long as I don't ever end up with say, a liver baby..... (ahem. Reference to Carrie there, yes.)

I met my mommy and my aunt and my niece in Lexington for lunch, and we went shopping all afternoon. Then I met M and we drove home--me following him in my car. So that was all nice. I bought stuff for my bathroom. I accidentally started redecorating my bathroom a couple of weeks ago because I fell in love with these white baskets at Target. I don't know why I decided that I just had to have them. They're white, with a country blue and white striped liner, tied with a simple bow. I typically don't buy accessories just for the sake of buying something, but I just had to have them for my bathroom. It was troublesome, though, because I didn't particularly even want to do a blue bathroom, but there you go. Stuck with it now. I bought two of the baskets then, and two more today, along with a shower curtain and rug and toothbrush holder. And a rug and two towels for the downstairs bathroom--while I was on a roll, you know. It looks quite cute, though I'm not done yet. And the shower curtain has dragonflies! Yay dragonflies! And yes, it matches, dragonflies and stripes. How dare you question me?!

Weekend, glorious weekend, oh how I love thee. *kisses the ground that Weekend walks on*

Nice, slow Saturday with just the boy and me--my favorite kind! We (not in this order) went to WalMart and ate lunch out (Panera) and finally went to have a piece of glass cut at that weird Rite-Aid Lowe's. (Don't ask. My husband is weird but extremely funny.) My mom found a matted but unframed magnolia picture to go in our bedroom months and months ago, and then she found a frame at Garden Ridge that she got for the bargain price of $7, missing the glass. She is beginning to fuss about how she went to all that trouble and we couldn't even get around to buying a piece of glass for it, so I thought it was perhaps time to get it done. Which, naturally, it is now sitting in the bedroom floor instead of hanging on the wall.. we can only be SO GOOD in one day.

And then we've played a couple of intensive rounds of the game we've been working on, and watched the extended version of the Fellowship of the Ring. Oi. Extended, yes. I can't believe we haven't seen this version already.. we just bought the dvds when they first came out, so it was harder to motivate buying the second version just for a few new scenes. I borrowed these from a friend, which was nice and all, except that now we're going to have to buy our own set. And steak! And potatoes! With bearnaise! Damn, but I can cook. (Pardon the immodesty for just one moment.) It's been such a relaxed, happy day.. I wish we could have another few days just the same!

I would complain about the itching but it would be tacky to do that two nights in a row.

I'm so sleepy that I would like to fall asleep in my chair, so instead, I'll watch the end of Iron Chef America and head off to bed. Nightnight cheery folk!
