More of the same.
Apr. 6th, 2005 01:26 pmSo M and I are both home now. He's headed off to the doctor in a little bit.. he called at 10 to ask for an appointment, and they said that they were booked up. (This is probably because they were only scheduling appointments for Wednesday when I was in there on Monday, not Tuesday, because they only had two doctors working. I am up on the doctor's office gossip these days.) Then she asked him what his symptoms were, and he said, "pink eye, flu, and a rash." So then she said, "uhh.. let's see if we can get you in after all. How's 11:30?" I don't know what's up with his rash, but it worries me. He's had it for a few days now, and although it's beginning to look a little better since I made him start putting medicine on it, it's also looking more inflamed around the edges. It's like, four little blister-y looking things on his side. Oh, and I gave my mom pink eye on Saturday, too. I am the best wife and daughter ever. I was going to go with M to the doctor, but suddenly realized that given the state of my immune system at the moment, hanging out in a doctor's office again would probably be pushing my luck.
As for me--and I know that you're just hanging on every word until you get to this part--I'm actually feeling worse than yesterday. Go figure. I even have my earache back, which is Not Good. My eye is totally better, though, so I'm not worried about being contagious anymore. (Well, not unless I catch it from M again, which would really not totally surprise me.) Unless something changes, I'm going to try to go back to work tomorrow. M gave me the evil eye when I said that a little while ago and said, "didn't you just say you were feeling worse today?" And, I am, but I'm also feeling guilty, and I am using up way too much leave time. So, we'll see.
I've been writing on this entry all day but it still isn't going anywhere. M just called.. the doctor said his rash looked like something bit him, yes to the pink eye, and sinusitis--but clearly, CLEARLY he is not nearly as sick as I have been. :) Well, that's true, I think, but we've been teasing each other about who is worse off, but he always lets me win when I start coughing up a lung, or complaining about my ears. Why we don't just play Scrabble like normal people, I don't know.
