M is running around nagging me to play for a while. This is a unique occurance and somewhat enjoyable. Almost makes up for spending my entire day off working on stuff I didn't want to work on. I don't really want to talk about that, though. (But hey! Mosaic Minds will go live again in two days! Ahem.)
On Saturday, we went to JCPenney's before we went to see Star Wars. They send me really good coupons, and M likes to buy shirts there. M, by the way, has an unreasonable fondness for Hawaiian shirts. I bet you didn't know that about him, but it's true. He does. (Edited to add: Why should I not be surprised that he actually managed to begin and finish a journal entry in the time it took me to write the rest of this, and actually mention his penchant for Hawaiian shirts?) Anyway, the coupons they tend to send me are $10 off with a purchase of $10 or more, and well, that's so close to free stuff that it's impossible not to shop there. I'm not sure why I am rationalizing this. Anyway, they had this big Father's Day special going on. If you spend $100 in men's apparel, you get a FREE digital camera. And you might think.. but, don't you already have a digital camera? One that you really like? And yes, absolutely. But FREE! So now we're going to get a new camera. So it's a 2 megapixel camera and ours is a 4 and we've been thinking of buying a new one even though we like ours because it's been two years and we're tech junkies. It's FREE. We have actually discussed buying a cheap digital camera that we don't have to worry about breaking. Now we'll have one! I hope it's small. You can't really tell from the picture.
It's kind of funny because we got our last digital camera from JCPenney, and it too cost very little money and a whole lot of money all at the same time. With that one, we had $400 worth of gift cards we received for FREE. (Good deal, if you can get it!) So, we paid like $70 for a $470 camera. Kinda. We actually paid $70 for a $330 camera, but JCPenney is really, really overpriced when it comes to electronics. We wouldn't have dreamed of buying it from them if we didn't have such a steep discount.
And really, it's a good thing that we used those cards on the digital camera. Otherwise.. can you imagine how many floral shirts that my husband would have by now?!
