Jun. 30th, 2005 09:45 pmMy husband just informed me that he beat his girlfriend to death with a large purple dildo. Then he went into great detail about how enjoyable it was, and how the bitch deserved it because she was really annoying and he never could get anywhere with her. Then he demonstrated his technique. And then he wondered why I don't encourage his computer game fetish.
Somehow, M and I spend a lot of money when we go to work. I ran out on break and paid the rent. M did almost as much damage to our bank account on his lunch hour: he got the family tree framed. I should ask M the details on who had those made and when and why. I do remember that there weren't many made, and.. I dunno. I used to think I wanted to get into genealogy but as it turns out, I'm much too lazy. Anyway, it's a pretty large piece of art in an awkward shape that has a tree and some names on it, and somewhere we have pictures of the one that M's parents still have hanging up, but my computer is giving me nasty little errors when I try to look at them. M's parents gave it to us when we got married and we were supposed to have it framed. Except, we were poor, and we didn't hang up much stuff on the walls anyway. And we were lazy. After we moved and finally have nice light walls that aren't quite so brown, we decided to get it done but were surprised to find that it was going to cost $150. M walked out on that one, and then I decided that we might as well go ahead and do it because.. well, this is an item we're going to have for the rest of our lives unless something unforseen happens to it. It's not like we're going to give it away. Anyway, guess how much it cost? With a supposed 60% off? GUESS. $260! For a picture frame! Apparently, that previous quote was just for the frame, not for the glass and the mat and all of that stuff. $260!! (We recently paid $8 for a piece of glass at Lowe's, but okay.) WTF kind of crack are they on, anyway? *sigh* But he paid for it anyway because we had already rather decided that it Should Be Done, and Should Be Done Right. I tried to get a description of what the frame and mat will look like, and.. well. I just hope it looks better than it sounded, that's all I gotta say. And then, for $260, you get a super-rush job. Oh, no, wait. Maybe it was that it will be ready in two weeks. One or the other. Sheesh. [deleted extremely crude hyphenated insult, popularized in the Yayer household by yours truly, originally in reference to Verizon. Realized not fit for polite company.]
Oh, and Roberto. The foreign exchange student I mentioned last night was named Roberto. It came to me as I was snuggled up in bed last night. Just to reinforce what I said about the way the brain behaves being a funny, funny thing.
