(no subject)

It kind of occured to me today that, now that I'm done editing M's book.. perhaps it's time to do my own. Mine will require extensive rewriting, to the point where I'm seriously considering starting it off with a blank document and adding in a few scenes here and there. I just couldn't get my conflict sorted out in time when I was actually writing it. Now I know why X/Y happened, or most of it, and it has nothing to do with the lame-o emergency reason it happened to begin with. I even wrote down a few notes today, for the first time in ages. I would totally be working on that tomorrow if it hadn't been for Mosaic Minds.. I'll probably be spending most of tomorrow on that. Last issue, I was totally not in the right mood for it and it took me all day to get it done.. hoping I can get it done with in a more efficient manner this time. Anyway, we'll see if I can make time to work on my book.

M and I went out for dinner tonight, and the really stupid thing? We went to Applebee's because M got a $5 gift card for there for some sort of silly thing they did at work. We have been totally underwhelmed with the Frankfort Applebee's, but we thought.. hey, we should use up the card. And naturally, we completely forgot. I also forgot my leftovers in the box on the table. In our defense, we were too busy sulking over the badness of our waitress to worry about such incidentals.

And hey! Look! It's a Friday! I think I shall go off and play with our books. We ran out and bought a new bookcase last weekend and set it up but have yet to fill it with books. :) It sounds like a nice little Friday night project.. maybe.. if I don't get sidetracked reading or something.
