Apparently I'm a Socialist, at least, according to this test. This made me laugh a little because my results put me in the bottom corner and W in the top opposite corner--in other words, about as opposite as two people can get. Since generally, I think the man's 'ideals' are the epitome of Evil, that strikes me as a pretty high compliment. I'm not interested in attaching too much importance to an online quiz or anything, but in light of that, I was amused to see that my general description was that I had a very strong sense of right and wrong and believe in economic fairness. What would someone idealogically opposite of me turn out as? ;) Also, M pointed out a couple of strange things about the quiz results, though--first, the grid is flipped and therefore, people who are on the "left" politcally show up on the right side of the grid, and also, the negative liberal subgroups take up a much larger area of the grid than the conservative subgroups. But seeing Darth Vader on the map was worth a laugh. :)

I had a really cheery post planned for today, with pictures! And a video of a dancing man! But alas, I have been far too busy with important things like computer games, my stupid email folder-deletion issue, etc. And also, I don't feel dreadfully cheery. Life is hard sometimes. I'm fine, blah blah, just don't want to talk about my navel-gazing moodiness. There are plenty of people with real problems, like, having lost family members and all their worldy possessions in one fell swoop. So, perhaps I will get around to cheeriness eventually.

The boy's book is so, so close to being done with another round of editing, and then I'll be reading it again, and then pretty soon, he'll be sending it off into the world. I am so proud of him! I wish I could find the focus to get back into writing, but the creativity has fled the game. I've also dropped all my handiwork hobbies of late, so perhaps it's just the heat that's killed all my drive. And it's not just this one book! He has all kinds of ideas for the next six books or so! I know that realistically speaking, getting published is hard work and generally unlikely, but I have a hard time seeing it not happening, somehow.

I have finally gotten into my Wheel of Time pre-release re-read. I wasn't much in the mood for it this time, but now that I've started it, the mood has returned, which is good. No point in doing a re-read if I'm not interested! Which is shorthand (K-style) for saying that it's time to be off reading now.
