(no subject)

I am totally going to change the time on this entry so it doesn't appear as if I missed a day of posting because I actually made it through the month this time without a blank day in my calendar and I really am posting today, too, even if it's after midnight. That sentence, it was way too long and rambly. Us wild and crazy kids were out way too late tonight. You know, those senior citizens of the Scandinavian club are just major party animals. J and A were there, and we haven't seen them much this year, so we followed up the event with a trip to Waffle House. (So, yes, we paid a fortune--no, I can't let it go quite yet--to eat a meal that I skipped half of because it wasn't very good, and then we went out to eat. Makes sense.) I think we have a new winner.. last time we went to Cracker Barrel afterwards but they closed on us, so this was better. Well, except for the strange people showing up and the people standing there listening to your conversations, but still. In any case, we had a fun evening, and a busy day in general. My parents came down for the first time since before we went to Sweden in May. We ate lunch and went shopping a little and drove by a couple of houses. Now it's late late and I am sleepy, but oh, how I wish we could stay home tomorrow. Unfortunately, no can do because we skipped last time and we're skipping next time, so somehow even though we've seen my parents more than usual lately, we appear to be slacking. It is so unfair. And it's not that I don't like seeing my family but.. four hours of travelling on a Sunday plus all the visiting time.. it makes it really hard to have a real life. But, first.. bed, which sounds sooo nice.
