I spent a chunk of my day off filing our taxes and preparing paperwork to get some money back from last year's medical expenses and the flexible spending plan thingie sponsored by my job. I made almost five times as much today as I do in a normal day at work. Therefore, it is my opinion that M should therefore let me stay home every day--in order to improve our finances, of course. He is mean and unlikely to agree to such a thing but I can always dream, right?
M called me twice today, both times asking if I had had any fun on my day off. I told him that I also got to watch Days of Our Lives but he didn't quite grasp the concept of that being fun. Since the move, I no longer have the soap opera television channel, which means that I can't watch it at seven every night, and that means that I can watch one show every other week. I'm glad that he feels strongly about me having fun on my days off, though, even if we disagree on the meaning of fun. I'm sure that if he had a day off, he'd be in the basement cutting and sanding and polishing and painting. That wouldn't appeal to me in the slightest!
