I have planned meals for one week! Yay me! It took me a ridiculously long time, but I now have something written down for the next five days. Plus today, but as it is a done deal, it was written only to make myself feel good. ;) The food thing is something that I have decided to work actively on for as long as I can keep myself motivated. I am tired of worrying about what to have. It sounds silly but it's pretty stressful for me. I am not, however, going to be too strict about sticking to the schedule. I reserve the right to switch nights, or want something else. That might make it easier for me.

Today we went shopping, and I bought M a fancy new keyboard, and the first season of M*A*S*H. (I added the asterisks because it's your birthday, dearest.) We had fun, and stocked up on an awful lot of stuff. I don't think I got anything fun, which is completely unfair. We ate at Tony Roma's, where two servers (not our own) stopped by our table to tell M that they liked his shirt. He was wearing his geek shirt. No one has ever stopped him in a public place to tell him this before, so we have come to the unmistakable conclusion that Tony Roma's hires geeks. Perhaps I should apply.

I wish that I had taken tomorrow off in order to have the four-day weekend thing. Well, I wish that I had in a somewhat abstract way, not in the way that I literally wish that I had taken tomorrow off. Let's just say it like it is: surprise of all surprises, it's Sunday night and I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow. Stop the presses. But at least we both have Tuesday off. Poor M has a suck-ass work schedule this week, as the week of July 4th is vacation week at his job, and he is basically the only one working, besides managers. 8-6:15, every day, no lunch break. And poor me, because I am accustomed to him being home early on two of those days. (Alternating schedules.)

Anyway. On to the important stuff. On this day, 32 short years ago, a boy child was born in Sweden. He grew up to be tall, and extraordinarily good-looking. Also, smart and funny and adorable. He displayed the amazing good taste to fall in love with (baby, you had me at *pkiss*) and later marry the finest young lady of my acquaintance.. hey, wait a minute.. that's me! Since we've known each other, I think he has made me laugh at least once every single day. He knows me inside and out and likes me anyway. He is a fantastic husband, and he's the best friend that I've ever had. And he can reach tall things, so what's not to love? A hundred million "happy birthday"s to my snoogie-woogie, [livejournal.com profile] totte! I love you bunches! :)
