weirdos and book labels
Sep. 13th, 2006 10:03 pmWe have some weird conversations in our household, as has been previously proven. Today’s favorite was this morning, when M called me as he arrived at work. “Whatcha doing?” he asked. I was putting away my breakfast dishes, if you want the truth, but what I actually said was, “I am putting aside the Ranger, and becoming the man I was born to be.”
I have no idea. Well, I do obviously know that it’s a paraphrase from the LotR movies, but I haven’t the faintest clue why it popped into my head just then and demanded to be spoken. Maybe it was the new-found knowledge that Sauron is alive and well that prompted it.
I was supposed to look into creating some book plate type stickers for some books that the Scandinavian Heritage society is donating to a church library in honor of a recently deceased co-founder. The president called last night to invite M (and me, but I don't really count as he's the board member) to a board meeting next week, and apparently I am supposed to have created them by then. Ermm.. oops. I have no idea how many I need or what they should look like. Hopefully my friend, who is apparently purchasing the books, will have some more info. I guess I should email her. Why is it so hard for me to get stuff done lately? I feel completely worthless with all my unfinished projects. I think M wants to stay home all day on Saturday to paint basement windows and allow drying time so maybe I'll force myself to get some stuff done then.
This week is flying by. Today wasn't even too bad for a Wednesday. :) I am pretty eager for it to be weekend, though. Hopefully the rest of the week will go by as quickly.
