We are here on vacation and it is good. We arrived at around one and around three. Traffic, it is a bitch. We ate at Cracker Barrel on the way into town so.. although traffic was bad, it wasn't actually two hours from the interstate to our hotel. Neither of us are fans of the Cracker Barrel dining experience in general, but I called my mom and got extremely car sick all of a sudden (cell phones make me carsick sometimes. It's weird.) and it was urgent that I eat NOW. I would rather like to take the metformin and hurl it as far away from my person as possible. And, I am absolutely sure that a lot of people reading this are always thinking.. why the heck don't you, then? It's just a long, uninteresting story. Anyway, it was a late lunch, and we were worn out from lack of eating by the time we got there. We had a surprisingly good time at lunch. Two older couples came in and were seated next to us. They ordered their meal, and then our food arrived a few minutes later. When the waiter walked back through the aisle, the lady stopped him and asked if she could change her order. He rushed off to the kitchen to check if it had been fixed yet, and came back to take her new order. And what did she order? A burger and onion rings--or, what I had, because it "just looked so good". I was trying to draw M's attention to it without them noticing that I had heard their conversation, but they weren't shy about it. The second lady changed her order, too, and we all started joking about it. It was really funny.

After lunch, we checked into the room and then did some shopping. I walked into a Oneida store to kill time while M went into a tool store, and ended up finding a lot of really really cheap stuff. An entire 16 piece set of blue snowflake Christmas dishes for a little over $10.. that sort of thing. I'm considering going back again tomorrow to see if there's anything else I want. We were tired by the time we made it in there. It is exactly what shopping here should be (it's supposed to be all about the outlet shopping, but it isn't really.)

Anyway, it's been a long day and I still need to dry my hair before I can go to bed. We're having fun and enjoying our little vacation. I think we needed it.
