Ladies and gentlemen, it is cold. Really cold. Five degrees tonight, and with a biting wind. Here's the problem with cold weather: I turn into a lizard when it's this cold. My hands are cracked and bleeding and raw, and I itch everywhere. Because I cannot seem to miss an opportunity to have weird personal problems, when I scratch, I break out in a rash. It has been a long day, let's just put it that way. I did not lotion thoroughly this morning before I left, so I guess I only have myself to blame, but I wish that I wouldn't do that. The scratchy rash had been gone for a year or so until it returned with pregnancy. Still can't find it in me to complain too strenuously, even if it is irritating. If this is the only rash problem I have, I am more than happy.
One day again I will write a post and mention nothing about the little person I am growing. Really.
We just got home from the family thing, and I am very tired and have little to say about the day. M has to work tomorrow, but I do not and for this, I am very, very grateful. (Well, I wish that he didn't have to, either, but I meant that I am just glad that I don't have to.) I am hoping to do all our laundry, as I failed to do it yesterday, and clean up my desk. This involves doing taxes and working on paperwork, and if I get really, really motivated, I will call and see if we can't switch back to cable internet from DSL, and switch our telephone to that company, too. We will save money and the internet will be faster (and hopefully more reliable.) Of course, I am conveniently forgetting that we switched to DSL out of sheer frustration at our crap speeds with this company, but they seem to have made improvements, which has been verified by a fellow geek of my acquaintance, so I'm not going to stress over it too much. But first, I am all about the nappy-time.
