(no subject)

Things did not go as planned today, and I ended up driving half an hour to pick M up from work. After that, we were really close to the fabric store, so I thought we should go there, and then it was so late that cooking would have been a pain, so we ate out. We are trying to cut back on the eating out, so tonight was very bad, but I figure we're already over budget for the month so how bad could it be? We didn't start trying to cut back until the middle of the month, after all.

Anyway, M's car went kapooey in such a way that he required getting it towed into the service place. I hate being the one who lives so close to work sometimes, because it means that I am the one that has to beg for a ride home from work from the nice people I work with. (I have already secured tomorrow's transportation, but still. I would be someone else if I didn't complain all the time.) It is going to cost a fortune (okay, not a fortune, but a lot of money) to get the thing fixed. We need to start looking for a replacement, I guess. I am just not that excited about it, considering that I am in a financial nesting mode at the moment. I guess you're never really that excited about spending a bunch of money, though.

The rib may be a touch better today. Keeping my fingers crossed.
