milestone.
Mar. 17th, 2007 10:25 amToday I officially turn 30 weeks pregnant!
I was in the process of trying to convince M that even if I get a little too tired from our shopping excursion today, I will have two days to rest, since we have no plans for the rest of the weekend. Then I celebrated hitting my 30 week milestone by promptly almost passing out just after this conversation. In the shower. Luckily, M was there--and sure, you can make jokes about what we were doing showering together, but please keep in mind the laws of physics and the fact that M is over a foot taller than I am, so really, not so much. (We've always done this. It has occasionally caused some embarrassing conversations, like when my dad asks why we didn't answer the phone and the only answer is "we were in the shower.") I'm sorry, is this too much information?
Anyway, it was a good thing this morning, because I was standing there, lost in thought, when M looks at me a little funny and asks what I'm thinking about. I start to answer him, but then the world starts slipping away and my eyes start going dark, and I more or less threw myself into M's arms so I wouldn't fall down. Luckily, I didn't end up completely passing out, but it was close there for a minute. I know it's not uncommon to pass out while pregnant (how else would they diagnose it on soap operas??) so I'm not freaking out or anything, but still. It was very, very odd.
And just so you know, that was not really the best way to win an argument about how you're FINE, and pregnancy is NORMAL.
Anyway, I have to go finish getting ready so we can go have some fun and spend too much money! M is beginning to give me that Look about wasting time on the internets because he thinks we're on a schedule. Oh, how precious. ;)
