Jun. 17th, 2007 11:04 pmM found out last week that he doesn't have to work the week of July 4. (Conveniently, his birthday is that week! Nifty.) Other than the fact that he will possibly need to schedule some oral surgery (wisdom teeth) that week, we are looking forward to some nice vacation time! I was pondering the feasibility of a mini-trip somewhere with a pool when I remembered that we really should go do the Swedish passport thing. I wonder if it's sufficiently important that we undertake a five hour trip with a one and a half month old baby, and if we can convince ourselves to go ahead and do it? Truly, M and I are some of the laziest people in the world when it comes to an opportunity to procrastinate. However, he does not have much time off work, so opportunities for this sort of thing are few and far between. I don't think we can do it yet anyway, but it would have been nice to get it over with.
We had a very nice weekend, as always. Weekends seem to be good most of the time--and I enjoy them just as much as I did when working, though of course for different reasons now. We went up to visit with my parents yesterday, which was really nice.. though technically we should have gone up today. We planned it this way because there was a birthday party for a couple of the cousins scheduled, but it was canceled. I also wanted to get a haircut, though that didn't happen either. Evelyn let us oversleep, and by the time we got up and ready and in town, the salon was closed. I need a mom haircut, apparently. My hair is driving my crazy.
Our little who-needs-sleep baby is wide awake and ready to have a little snack, so I must go. Also, I can't think of a single thing else to say so it's just as well.
