Why do you cry, precious?

I am pretty sure I had something to write about when I came in here. Haven't the faintest idea what it might have been now, as I am distracted by the screaming child being carried around the house by her patient father.

Update from yesterday - M has his internet access back up and running. Apparently it was configurationish, because the new router fixed it. Shouldn't have, but at least it works now.

I am inordinately proud of myself because I made dinner using the stuff that two sets of neighbors brought us from their gardens last week. The people behind us came by with an outfit for Evelyn, and a sack of vegetables. It was really sweet--I hadn't even met her but she brought the baby a present. :) The man next door came by with a bag of tomatoes the next day, so I threw together a tomato sauce with onions, celery, carrots, squash, capers, balsamic vinegar, random spices and cheese. It was really good! And the whole thing cost about $2 with the free stuff! Not bad for five meals.

And now my husband is back on his plan to grow mushrooms in our basement. Do you ever just look around at your life and think, how did we end up so crazy?
