A post from Evelyn: four months
Sep. 25th, 2007 02:05 pmHi, internets! I am four months old now! Plus a little bit extra that happened while I was busy playing with Farfar and Farmor. Did you know that I have TWO sets of grandparents? I have met my daddy's parents this month and I like them. They're interesting! But they talk funny like Daddy does. Huh. I wonder why some people sound different? I just talk Baby and I get by alright even though Mom and Dad don't always understand me. Everyone should talk Baby.
I like lots of things now that I am a big big big big big girl. For one thing, I like it when people say "big big big big big". Haha! Big big big big big! I also occasionally find things really funny that were not meant to be funny. Like, one time, Mommy looked at me sitting in Daddy's lap and said, "hi, little girl!" and I cackled like she had just told the world's funniest joke. And once she asked me if I wanted to take a bath and that was really great. Oh, and once Daddy made this funny toot noise from his butt and that was HILARIOUS. He turned red and then laughed an awful lot when I giggled at that one! Maybe he will do it again. Mommy thinks that's pretty likely. I have decided that sitting is soo last month, and now I want to stand all the time. Standing is like sitting, only better! I can stand all by myself except I am a little wobbly and need someone to balance me, and then my legs get tired so I need to sit down again. Another thing that I enjoy is rolling over. I tried to sneak this one by Mommy but Daddy told her and so I finally did it when she was around. It's fun! I lay on my back and then flip over to the right. Yesterday, I got to lay in the floor naked (YAY FUN!) for a little while and I spent the whole time on my belly 'cause I flipped over. It's so easy! I used to hate being on my belly but that was when I was little. I have also recently discovered squealing, and Mommy has asked me to use my indoor voice. Not sure what that means. I WAS inside and it WAS my voice? Whatever.
Lots of stuff has been going on since I last posted! Mommy had to go to work one day this month and Granny came down to stay all day with me. I liked that pretty well except she tried to give me a "bottle" and I didn't understand that one. Why wouldn't she feed me instead of giving me this "bottle"? It kinda reminded me of milk and it was fun to chew on but I was hungry! Granny doesn't speak Baby either. :( Then Farmor and Farfar came to see me and we have been going places all the time! I don't mind going places except it makes me really sleepy, and it's really hot outside. We have been shopping, and to a "distillery" (I don't know what that means even though they explained it because I fell asleep) and I went camping with Granny and Grandpa two days last week.
Also, the parents took some pictures of me again. *sigh* As always. I kind of think that the silver box that makes light is pretty, though, so I won't complain too much. By the way, what happened to my hair?
