I am really missing my normal computer time. I spend a lot of time on the couch with Babyo and the laptop, but I can't really type, just click. So I never get around to posting the comments I meant to post or writing the entries or updating budgets or typing lists or writing a book.. okay, so that last one is unlikely at best, from what it seems. My real desk is littered with receipts and paperwork and all sorts of stuff that I haven't had time to pay attention to because I am required to focus all my energy elsewhere, like into making sure that Evelyn doesn't try to play in the dishwasher again. It's really amazing how you can stay home all day long, all week long, and still not have any time that amounts to anything. I mean, hey, it's better than being at work, but geez, doesn't it look like my bathroom would clean itself every now and then?

Right now, I am enjoying a nice nap, though I have my doubts as to how long it will last. We have a busy busy weekend planned, and I must confess that I am feeling a bit exhausted just thinking about it. I am supposed to be packing for the weekend but I do not have the energy to consider how many outfits I should stuff into the diaper bag right at this moment. And, I guess my question about how long this nap will last has just been answered. Argh. If she wasn't so darned cute I would be really annoyed right now.

...

And now I have squandered another nap during which I meant to write more here. I hear definite wakey noises. BAH. But the internets was calling to me! I needed to find out how to recycle batteries! I did not figure it out at all, by the way. Does anyone know how you properly dispose of non-rechargable standard (AA, etc) batteries? We use almost all rechargeables but we do have a few rogue non-rechargeables hanging around. I've kept them in a baggie until I figure out where to take them but I can't come up with anything. It seems to be that there's no standard place and I should just toss them, is that about right? I really hate to do that, especially since I was feeling all environmental when I decided to save them, but since I put them in a plastic baggie to keep them together, if I toss everything now, we will actually be at a LOSS on the whole environmental thing.
