sunday night

Voice still gone but feeling a bit better today than yesterday. Evelyn is not thrilled that Mommy isn't speaking to her in anything but a whisper. She rather likes it when I whisper to her normally but apparently all the time is a bit much. :) We had a nice relaxed day. M did the grocery shopping, and I did laundry, and we both worked on the kitchen a bit. Our house was a disaster, and is just a little better now. I finished sewing the Cutest Diaper Ever. Lazy Sundays are the best.

I finally cut M's hair, which was desperately needed. Apparently I did a great job because two different chicks hit on him at Lowe's, and then he got the military nod from a guy in uniform. He gets that with a very fresh hair cut, military men give him the Nod, much like you do when you see a car like yours in traffic and you kind of give them a little cheery wave to signify that hey, we both have relatively common vehicles! You know what's awkward is when you give someone that wave and then realize that you are not actually driving your '89 Beretta anymore, you are in your grown-up Taurus. Then they are confused and you look like a dork.

M said it had been an exceptionally nice day. Quiet and peaceful (since I can't talk, implied.) He's mean but I love him anyway. I think I shall send him one of these Valentine's cross-stitch designs.
