I am at my parents house and they have internet now so I can post! Everyone else is still asleep--except my dad, who has already left--so I headed for the shower and then decided that I could just head in here instead. Even the baby is still asleep! She went to bed late last night, slept all night through, and is sleeping past her normal time. I guess Granny's house just agrees with her? I don't know.

I have good news! Yesterday morning, they couldn't do the test that needed done on my grandfather because the machine was broken. Nice, huh? "Your heart is having problems but we can't do anything about it because we have shoddy equipment. Hope you're still around when we get it fixed!" Eh. It actually turned out okay, though, because the procedure was kinda dangerous, and yesterday afternoon, his heart fixed itself and started beating regularly again! He's still pretty sick but he's looking and feeling quite a bit better. We went out there last night and visited with him. He's in better spirits than I had expected him to be. He's in ICU, and we got caught at the door as we were trying to slip in (as my dad had told us to do). I ALWAYS get caught at stuff like that. My parents, uncles, cousins, etc have been going in and out for the last two days and I try it once, and a perky little nurse stopped us before we made it inside. She told us to wait outside and she'd come back for us when we could come in, but she never did and we stood there watching others slip in, or even use the phone to call back to the nurse's station to get in. I guess we looked shifty? I don't know. As we were standing there, though, another family came out to use their cell phone to call someone, and they were telling the other person that no, he's not going to live through the night. And so when we left, M and I looked at each other and I said that yeah, waiting half an hour to go back? Could be worse things. It's all perspective, isn't it?

My mom and my niece kept Evelyn while we were at the hospital, and I think they had fun. She got really revved up while we were trying to get her ready for bed. M had a wet washcloth that he wiped her down with, and she is standing there in a really-ready-to-be-changed trashy diaper only (my mom changed her) hanging to her knees, jumping up and down and flinging that rag all over the place and talking every breath about it. It was hilarious. I took pictures and video but I can't transfer them until we get home. Babies are silly.

Anyway, I need to reboot (I am doing tech support while I write this) and then get cleaned up. Toodles!
