Today, for approximately the first time since my baby was born, I slept in! Sorta. I mean, I was up from five to sixish with her but when she woke up at 8:30, M got up with her and closed the door so I rolled over and slept another hour. Yay sleep! It is amazing how luxurious that felt. Boyo is good. I might or might not have complained last night before I went to bed "early" (earlier than he did, at least) about how I had to go to bed early while he stayed up, and then get up in the mornings because he is tired from staying up too late. He offered to switch, and let me get up at six every day, but I bit him and then short-sheeted his bed, so he stopped saying stuff like that. You know what? I am closing in on thirty and I really don't know what short-sheeting a bed means. That is the proper terminology, isn't it? Is it a sign of personal growth that I can just let that go without googling it to make sure I am using the phrase correctly?

Once a year, there's a yard sale that runs several hundred miles through several states, and it happens to go through my town. That was this weekend, so my parents came down this weekend to spend the night and go bargain hunting with us. We had fun, and Evelyn, who has her Granny and Grandpa wrapped around her little finger, got herself a good haul of stuff. It's kind of obscene, the stuff that child has. I also bought her an Elmo chair, which I was really excited about because I want her to have a chair and she loves Elmo. I brought it home and washed it (yuck yuck yuck) and then noticed that it is covered in dog hair. Double yuck. The good news is that if I can't get it cleaned up, it'll only be two dollars lost. I think it'll clean out alright though. Maybe.

I think I hear bedtime calling. Nightie night.
