sometimes mama can't fix things
Oct. 2nd, 2008 09:47 amThere were four or five dogs roaming in our driveway a few minutes ago, so I grabbed Evelyn and took her to the window so she could see them. (Actually, she almost got to see a bit of a wildlife documentary when one of the dogs tried to get a little friendly with another, but then it turned out to be a litttle more Cops than Meerkat Manor with the smackdown.) She was fascinated by them, but then they roamed on up the road and over the hill out of sight. She has been standing at the window crying "Dog! Dog! DOOOGGGGG!" for five minutes now. Poor little baby. Life is rough sometimes for little girls.
(strictly speaking she is not actually still there crying for the dog because that would make me kind of heartless to laugh at her misery and leave her standing there alone while I made fun of her in my journal but still.)
