My dad sold my car today--with permission, of course, but wouldn't that have made an interesting post?--and we have decided to buy the vehicle that they've been loaning to us, so my car situation has been sorted, I guess. It's a Buick LeSabre. I feel so old. It's a lovely car, though. I feel like you need to be at least twenty years older than me to realistically drive a car like this, but Buicks? They are nice cars. Anyway, this particular car was my aunt's. She loves it. Her husband wanted to upgrade and she let him talk her into it, but if truth be told, she misses this car desperately. They sold it to my parents, who didn't really need it. I'm not sure exactly what happened there, actually, but my dad has this little habit of buying and selling cars and trailers and... things. It's kind of hard to explain. Anyway, we have a car! And isn't that perfect timing for M's car to break down a mile from his job today? Eerrk. The repair shop was closed, too, so I got to go pick him up this evening. (His job is half an hour from home, so this isn't our favorite way to arrange things.)
Ahh, well.
Kiddo is obsessed with watching me play Free Realms, which is a MMORPG that I was only trying out after seeing how she was digging the JumpStart online game. Random Internet Reviewer was talking about how the Jumpstart game drove him crazy to play with his boys, so he moved them over to this. It seems to me to be a bit too old for kids her age because you need to be able to read, but as soon as it started loading, she was entranced. She's been pulling her chair over close to me, and I'll let her do occasional clicking bits. It's sweet. Her mommy and daddy met on the previous generation of multiplayer games, after all, back before there were things like graphics and sounds. :) Oh, how I miss the muds sometimes. Anyway, it's cute, but... wow, I sort of hate this game. I mean, really, the problems that I have. I'm not best pleased with the computer game my child makes me play for her entertainment. Horrors. The game itself isn't bad, but the controls make me scream.
