This weekend's serious-cooking was tonight. Yum! We did it last week and had a lot of fun, so we decided to go another round, slightly less involved and less food-tv. Stuffed mushrooms again, and new potatoes sauteed with shallots and rosemary and butter. I wish someone would tell me why the hell I live in a capital city of our fine nation and had to leave the STATE to buy new potatoes? WHERE ARE THE POTATOES THIS YEAR? Although I am exceedingly unimpressed with produce in Frankfort in general. I happen to know that Cincinnati is a major produce hub, and we're certainly closer to there from here than in Morehead, so I don't understand why everything looks so crappy here. Except for Luxury Kroger, to be fair, where I bought the most gorgeous parsley I've ever seen last week, but it's on the other side of town. I think perhaps my produce job made me weird.

Or maybe the produce job had nothing to do with it. Hmm.
