short amounts of silliness while I procrastinate.
I am such a spoiled brat. I just took my glasses off, held them up to the light, sniffed* in annoyance, smiled beguilingly at M, and then casually asked if his glasses were dirty. He just laughed at me and took them off to clean them. I was much too busy reading blogs to bother with getting up to do it myself.
Of course, when he took my glasses to clean them, I could no longer read blog posts due to the fact that I am blind as a bat, but still.
Speaking of bats, I was reminded at dinner tonight (don't ask) of a conversation that M had with my aunt, as told to me by the aunt. I don't think M even knew I had heard about it until now. I laughed a lot when I read it because I thought it was sooo M.
M, standing in the dirt-floor room of our basement: I was thinking that we should grow mushrooms in here. That would be cool.
Aunt, with a touch of dry humor: Mushrooms like bat poo, though, so you'd need to get some bats.
M: Ahh, yeah. *stops to think* How many, ya think?
*Then I apparently became a character in a Robert Jordan book. Next thing you know, I'll be tugging at my braid. After I get a braid. Which I will totally do if I can get Lan in my bed.
