The walls were painted, and they look fantastic. And then when we started pulling off tape last night, the paint came with it. It is tearing off at the edges much like plastic wallpaper, even if we cut it off with an xacto knife. I've never seen anything quite like it. And then, I may have cried. Last night, I was a great big old grump and the wall situation just didn't help. I'm not altogether sure what we're going to do now, but it's extremely disappointing since we thought we were done except for the finishing touches (molding, trim, ceiling.) I'm more optimistic today than yesterday but mainly because I have refrained from thinking about it. Once we're done, I'll probably ramble more about walls but at the moment, I'd just really rather not.
Work today was fun because I got to go to the super-secret backup site in a city that is not the one we live in. Really, it's not that super-secret but it's much more trendy and cool to pretend that it is. It was pretty neat, for no special reason. And it made the Thursday go by very quickly, which is always nice.
And tomorrow? Friday! And we all know how we feel about Fridays! :)
