Wow. I actually got hacked. Consideirng that it didn't lose me any valuable information and didn't take too long to get put back in order, all's well now. I noticed a wiki disappearing (yes, the one you're thinking of if you know of a wiki that's being used of late) and being replaced by a black screen first. Brazilian punks. Then I started noticing the certain index files of certain directories of our web server was gone. I've never had this problem before with them, so we'll see what happens. As far as I know, I've fixed all four instances I found of it. I was going to blame it on the wiki, but a non-me account was also done, which made me happyish. Eh, well, as Steph mentioned yesterday, nothing is secure online. It'll be okay. :)

This zine project is tremendously exciting and terrifying. There's so much going on that it's completely overwhelming. It's incredible as far as creative energy goes, though. We don't have a name yet, but I think there might be a vote tomorrow. This makes me slightly nervous, since I really don't want to end up with a name I don't like. Oh, well. I'm sure whatever we end up with will be good.

M has been sitting on the couch most of the weekend. Last night I sat with him and played on the internet, but tonight we're in separate rooms. I'm being very good about not pestering him to play with me, since I really think he's been needing some relaxation time. It works out fairly well this weekend, though, because I've spent a lot of time with the big zine project, so I've had stuff to do. I usually get bored when he sits and stares at cartoons for two days.

So I was thinking I might try to keep an eye out for what I'm thankful for, given that it's the week of Thanksgiving and all. I'd like to be one of those families that has to go around the table and say what we're thankful for--my kids are going to hate me for making them do crap like that. I might even make this feature last all week. I'm a fan of things that go on for an extended period of time. Last year, I made desktop backgrounds for M from November 1st to November 18th every single day in honor of our anniversary. That was fun, although I was certainly ready to stop when the time came. Anyway. Not the point.

Things I'm Thankful For
  • M, who makes me happier than I ever thought I could be.
  • My family, who love me even when they don't like me. (Now I have the standard answers out of the way. Yay!)
  • My nose. It's cute and I got it from my Granny. Lots of people don't have cute noses. No offense if that happens to be you.
  • Overwhelming creative energy and enthusiasm.
  • Sunflower seeds with no shells.

They're lovely things to be thankful for! (back again) I'm with you on the tradition of doing that an also in stretching it out, I can't wait to set little things like that up for my kids :) I think the concept of what Thanksgiving has evolved into (I'm not sure what it was originally for) is lovely, wish we had it down here. Your nose - cute!!! :)

Yes, this project is exciting and scary - the name will be interesting, I'm sure we'll end up with something good. If not, then we'll have to work twice as hard on the style ;)

Evil hackers! It seems so odd that they would target you. But who knows what goes through their little pea brains?

I like the thankful idea. I should do something similiar since we aren't celebrating Thanksgiving this year at all.

You can celebrate it with me. :) I'll send you a virtual turkey on Thursday, and you can be thankful for stuff. Whee!

It was originally a bit of a harvest festival between the original settlers and the natives, to put it simply. Now it's just an excuse to overeat and watch television, followed by one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Cheery. :)

*crossing my fingers on a good name*

I don't think they're specifically targeting me but rather my hosting company. I'm going to try to work something out today and see if I can't.. I don't know. Fix it. At least make it harder for them if possible. I can't believe their timing, those little bastards. Just when I'm actually *using* this space for fun projects, they go off and disrupt it. Hmmph. Oh, well.

I used to hate Thanksgiving, but now I would be a little sad to miss it. I guess that you wouldn't enjoy it right now even if you were celebrating it, with your gallbladder issues. ;(

I hate those defacing kids. I've been hit twice. They do no damage, but could if they wanted. I've never figured out how they get in, either. It's usually an Apache hack, so I keep mine upgraded as much as possible.. who knows. Welcome to the club. :)

It's so irritating. It's fairly silly to even think that they couldn't get to you if they want, but why the heck do they WANT to do it? I was going to say that they need a hobby, but it seems that they have one..

Awww, poor widdle girlie. I would send you a virtual filling, too, but I don't think that would be all that particularly helpful. :(
