I'm glad you got an inspection. Since the housing market has been so tight, many couples opt out of the inspection in fear that someone else will snatch up the house while they're waiting on the inspection.
We were going to have one, too, and our house was brand new. As it turned out, the inspector agencies we called all said that it was unnecessary until we went to sell the house. One inspector reassured us that our builder was a reputable company.
